The dysfunctional behaviours we have learned as a child often plays out in our lives as an adult. Growing along the way is about growing up in a dysfunctional home, and the consequences that follows. Writing my story is about understanding myself and the life choices I've made along the way due to my inherited behavioural patterns.
It's also about becoming aware of how I, because of my unresolved trauma, created the life I had, how I allowed pain, betrayal and abuse take place as an adult, because I didn't own my issues. It's about growing into the insight of taking responsibility for the life I created, and thus change it for the better. It was not always pretty, or easy. Sometimes it has been messy, nasty and I have done things I shouldn't have done. But I did them anyway. It's about putting my big-girl-panties on and make some hard desicions.
