I was born in Poland where I studied economy. After moving to Sweden I had a desire to write a fantasy book placed in the real world. Feeling that I was more fluent in English than in Swedish, I wrote it in that language. Doing it today, I would write it in Polish, but when I started writing it, Poland was only begging its experiment with market economy, and I was not sure if I would find a publisher willing to take a risk with a book starting in England and taking most of the action in Spain. In spite the fantasy, the book tells a few real stories from my life.
